What is Breathwork?
The type of Breathwork I use with clients uses connected nose breathing and is called Rebirthing Breathwork. This is a powerful therapy that improves mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. I will guide you through breathing techniques, altering your breathing pattern and bringing awareness to your breath to bring about a sustained, rhythmic breathing cycle.
How does it work?
Breathwork brings about an altered state of awareness, much like meditation and there are not only physical health benefits but also emotional and spiritual. By creating a sustained, rhythmic breathing cycle, you open up the breathing mechanism, allowing for many improvements. The meditative like state promotes a connection to your subconscious, releasing blocks, and allowing you to understand behaviours and beliefs in a new, more positive way.
What to expect in sessions
All sessions are held online and begin with a chat. You will usually be led down during the breathing and I will guide you through some breathing exercise to start the session I will guide you through breathing techniques, altering your breathing pattern and bringing awareness to your breath to bring about a sustained, rhythmic breathing cycle. The session may include questions or prompts so that you can process any information your subconscious is sharing with you.
How it’s different from talk therapy
Although there is a place for conversing in breathwork, and indeed in the homework given, the deep healing is found when we work with the subconscious. The conscious mind is rational, analytical and logical, to fully process and heal we must work directly with the deeper parts of the mind.
